Title: A Machine Learning-Based Approach for Predictive Maintenance in IoT Systems

Abstract
This paper presents a machine learning-based approach for predictive maintenance in Internet of Things (IoT) systems. The primary objective of this project is to enhance the reliability and efficiency of IoT devices by predicting potential failures before they occur. The focus of this work is on developing a predictive model using historical data collected from various sensors deployed in industrial IoT environments. We propose a hybrid approach combining supervised learning algorithms, including Random Forest and Support Vector Machine, to analyze sensor data. The system was evaluated using a real-world dataset containing operational metrics from manufacturing equipment, achieving an accuracy of 92% in failure prediction. The experimental results indicate that implementing predictive maintenance can significantly reduce downtime and maintenance costs in IoT systems. Future work will concentrate on integrating this model with real-time data streams and optimizing it for resource-constrained environments.
