Abstract of Automatic Fabric Fault Recognition System.
In an era of automation and robust solutions, the textile industry still suffers from efficiency loss and human error. Fabric fault recognition has been an active area of research since the average workforce sometimes fails to meet the industrial requirements.
The inspection department of textile industries has to make sure that the number of defects in the fabric is in the acceptable range. Traditionally, this task has been carried out by employees.
The purpose of this project is to automate this inspection using Computer Vision and Machine Learning, to detect various types of faults that occur during the sewing process, particularly regarding the jeans.
As automation of this scale has not been implemented before in Pakistan, it gives a huge space for research and development. As a result, the automatic fabric defect recognition system would reduce labor costs and induce efficiency, effectiveness, and accuracy.
