Title: Development of a Student Information System
Abstract
This project focuses on the development of a comprehensive Student Information System (SIS) designed to facilitate the management of student data within educational institutions. The primary objective of this project is to create an efficient and user-friendly platform that allows administrators, faculty, and students to access and manage academic records, attendance, and personal information seamlessly. This work aims to enhance the overall educational experience by improving data accessibility and administrative efficiency.
Objectives
The main objectives of this project are:
- To design a centralized database that stores critical student information, including personal details, enrollment status, academic performance, and attendance records.
- To implement an intuitive user interface for administrators, faculty, and students, enabling easy navigation and interaction with the system.
- To ensure data security and privacy through user authentication and role-based access control.
Methodology
To achieve these objectives, the project employs a structured approach using Agile software development methodologies. The database is implemented using MySQL, while the application is developed using PHP for the backend and HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the frontend. The system was subjected to rigorous testing, including unit testing and user acceptance testing, to ensure functionality and performance meet user requirements.
